EFFECTS OF THE TREATMENT

Hello, smooth and glowy skin

At Kalia Lab, we use the fractional CO2 Laser specifically to reduce acne scars in the cheek area.
The fractional CO2 Laser is used to set treatment points in the epidermis and the skin layers directly beneath it, removing part of the skin. At the same time, the heat deep down causes the connective tissue fibers to contract (collagen shrinking), which has a firming lifting effect.
We combine all CO2 Laser treatments with PRP therapy and the antioxidant vitamin C to support the healing process and collagen production. This promotes skin regeneration and improves the results of the treatment.

F.A.Q.

WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME FOR TREATMENT?

The treatment is ideal for scars, especially acne scars. Autumn is an ideal time for CO2 Laser treatments, as it’s typically a darker time of year and the skin becomes much more sensitive to light following the procedure. While CO2 Laser treatments can technically be performed during the summer months, they involve greater risk and more complex aftercare compared to the lower-light conditions of autumn.

Does the treatment hurt?

The treatment is carried out with an anesthetic cream, which makes the treatment with the CO2 Laser well tolerated and less painful.

Is the CO2 laser a fractional laser?

Yes. At Kalia Lab, we work with a fractional CO2 Laser.

How long does the CO2 laser treatment take?

The treatment itself lasts between 60 and 70 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

When will i be SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE after the treatment?

Usually after about 7-10 days. Redness, swelling, scabbing, and dry skin may occur.

How many sessions are necessary and how long do the results last?

This depends on the skin's needs and the desired result. Significantly visible improvements can occur after just the first session. However, we recommend several treatments for scars. The effects of the treatment are permanent.

What risks and side effects can occur?

Possible risks and side effects include redness, swelling, scabbing, and dry skin.
