At Kalia Lab, we use muscle relaxant to specifically inhibit the release of specific neurotransmitters associated with pain stimuli.
The treatment targets muscle groups that commonly contribute to tension and may trigger migraine episodes, including muscles in the face, neck, and shoulder area. The injections are distributed across 7 areas: the forehead, eyebrow area, temples, back of the head, neck, and upper shoulder muscles. This can help relieve typical migraine symptoms such as headaches, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. The treatment may also help reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks.
Reduces the frequency of migraine attacks so that you feel better again.
Relieving migraines leads to a greater sense of well-being and a better quality of life with less pain.
The intensity of pain and symptoms is reduced, making migraine attacks more bearable.
The right time for treatment varies from person to person. In general, it is advisable to start treatment as soon as wrinkles or fine lines start to bother you or as a preventative measure to keep the skin looking youthful for longer.
The sensation of pain varies from person to person. We use cold for local anesthesia. As a result, the treatments are generally less painful or not painful at all. At the beginning of the treatment, we can also apply our very strong anesthetic cream on request.
The effects of the treatment develop gradually and may take up to 14 days to become fully noticeable. How long the results last varies from person to person and depends on factors such as metabolism and the individual course of migraine. In many cases, the effects last around 4 to 6 months.A follow-up treatment may be recommended once the first signs appear that the effects are wearing off or migraine symptoms are becoming more frequent again. Many patients therefore choose to repeat the treatment after around 6 to 8 months.
No. The feeling may occur in the first few days after the treatment, but this will subside after a week at the latest. Some customers report that they feel more relaxed as a result of the treatment.
The effectiveness of muscle-relaxing injections for chronic migraine has been well studied. In the large-scale PREEMPT study involving 1,384 patients, the treatment was shown to reduce both the number of headache days and the intensity of symptoms. This treatment is medically established for chronic migraine and may be particularly suitable for adults who do not respond sufficiently to conventional migraine therapies or who do not tolerate them well.By precisely targeting selected muscle areas in the head, neck, and shoulders, the treatment may help reduce both the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks.
